PRDC is very much inclined towards the academia having born out of the hands of technocrats rather than MBAs. Engineers are encouraged to pursue their higher studies while on job. So far every year some engineers were sponsored by the company to pursue their master degree in other universities. Recently PRDC got affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and can now offer MSc. Engineering and PhD through research its own place. Some percentage of the seats will be reserved for the in-house engineers.
